As a certified PADI Open Water Diver, the most widely recognized and respected rating in the world; you have the freedom to dive with a buddy independent of a professional. If you have already tried a PADI Discover Scuba Diving experience or are PADI Scuba Diver certified, check with your instructor to see how credit from these courses may apply to the open water program.
What do I need to start?
Virtually anyone who is in good health, reasonably fit, and comfortable in the water can earn a PADI Open Water Diver certification. If you are between 10 and 14 or have a child between these ages, there is a PADI Junior Open Water Diver program available.
What will I do?
Throughout the course, you’ll learn fundamentals of scuba diving, including dive equipment and techniques. You earn this rating by completing five pool dives and knowledge development sessions and by making four open water (ocean or lake) dives.
How long will it take?
PADI programs are performance based. You proceed as you demonstrate mastery of the course skills. This allows you to work at a pace that is comfortable for you, usually three to four-days.
The Adventures in Diving program is the Advanced Open Water Diver course. If you complete any three adventure dives, plus your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive for a total of five, you earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

After your five dives, You'll be more experienced, feel more comfortable in the water and simply enjoy diving more because you better understand the underwater environment.

The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond purely recreational level because You'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers. Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.
What do I need to start?
PADI Advanced Open Water Diver or PADI Junior Advanced Open Water Diver certification (or qualifying certification from another organization). Minimum age is 15 years old (12 for PADI Junior Rescue Diver). Successful completion of a sanctioned CPR program within the past 24 months
What will I do?
Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies. During the five open water sessions, You'll cover:
Self-rescue and diver stress
Dive first aid
Emergency management and equipment
Swimming and non-swimming assists
Panicked diver response
Underwater problems
Missing diver procedures
Surfacing the unconscious diver
In water artificial respiration

How long will it take?
Recommended course hours is 25; minimum Open Water Training is five sessions over two days.
Emergency First Response gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.
What do I need to start?
No dive certification is required and there is no minimum age limit. Anyone can join the program.
What will I do?
This comprehensive program is composed of two core modules that can be taught in tandem or as stand-alone courses: Emergency First Response - Primary Care and Emergency First Response - Secondary Care. Together, these courses proved extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as providing optional (yet recommended) Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen sections.
How long will it take?
Depending on the amount of home study, the Primary and Secondary courses maybe completed in as little as four hours.
By diving with enriched air rather than standard air you can extend your no decompression limits. This means more time underwater. For example, if you dive to 15 meters/50 feet on air, your no decompression limit is 80 minutes. But, diving on EANx36 gets you 220 minutes of no decompression time - an increase of 140 minutes.

The PADI Enriched Air Diver Specialty certification emphasizes the theoretical and operational considerations involved with enriched air diving.

Minimum Open Water Training: two dives over one day
The Divers Alert Network is an international organization dedicated to diver safety and accident management. The DAN O2 course teaches you to administer oxygen to a patient with dive related injuries, a necessary first step in treating injured divers.
What do I need to start?
No dive certification is required and there is no minimum age limit. Anyone can join the program.
What will I do?
This comprehensive program is composed of Oxygen treatment for decompression illness and oxygen treatment for lung expansion injuries. Together, this course provides extensive instruction in oxygen management at the scene of a diving accident.
